The Expansion of the Universe
The video "Scientific Facts in Quran" (1 of 10) tells that the Big Bang is mentioned in the Quran, which is a scientifically accepted theory/fact.
"While observing the sky... Edwin Hubble...discovered that the...constantly expanding Universe."
Further research proved this to be so..
This fact is mentioned in the Quran as well. Therefore, it is proof that the Muslims knew about the "expanding universe" and that is what proves the "Big Bang" occurred, and that the "cloving asunder" describes that monumental event.
The fact that others might also have believed this points towards a Creator, because how would have any early people have known about this event, which had no human witnesses, except if God had revealed the fact to them? If anything, this proves that the Quran is also the word of God, as the previous scriptures were the word of God.
The Thinking Atheist website pretends that this is something that doesn't favor the creationists (or Muslims), but he is wrong.
Other facts, which are accurate descriptions are the creation of the human inside it's mother's womb.
This could not have been known during the Prophet's lifetime. Nor are the three stages (or also, three layers [of darkness], as sometimes are mentioned in other verses) revealed in any other scriptures. (Revised)
