Job Wanted: Torturer
If you’re good for the job, you may be hired on permanently.
But once you’ve been working as a torturer for a while I can promise that your family and friends won’t soon recognize you.
It’s the vacant look in your eyes, that makes you look like the ‘living dead’, that usually alerts people to the fact that you’ve “changed”.
The pay is not great, but the rewards are incredible. Free travel to black sites around the world, your chance to go to college, or fulfill a lifelong dream…
In Islam, torture is forbidden. It robs that person (the torturer) of all of his humanity. So we have an alternative punishment in Islam; capital punishment.
Some of the punishments in Islam, for example the punishment for adultery is severe and yes, painful. But this is the ordeal those caught in the act of adultery face. It is a very rare deal where Muslims are able to bring 4 witnesses to attest to the fact (or prove the accusation) of adultery in a criminal court (according to the laws of Sharia).
As the Prophet, SAWS, stated “you see it like the kohl stick in the kohl jar” a metaphor for the actual act, and the sighting of the penis inside the vagina, by four men (or women), which if not accomplished, is not a proven case. (Nowadays, even women may be allowed to testify in adultery cases, because they are not as shy as women of the past...Allah knows best. But I think in all likelihood this is not the case; it is a mercy from Allah i.e. it would be easier to find two men and two women in one household, than to find four men at one time.)
If the woman is single and pregnant, she is not killed, but receives a lashing for having illegal sex, but only after delivery.
Men receive the same punishments as women in all cases.
Punishments applied in cases of rape, torture, murder, drug dealing, and similar evils, are quite severe, and are often death, or beheading.
Even the insane, who is a killer, is killed for his strange crimes (i.e. cannibalism) and murders, etc. This is so that society does not suffer at the hands of the individual or deranged person.
